Provisions Imposed on Pets Carried Into Taiwan
I. Quarantine Regulations:
An approval issued by the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Agency(APHIA) two weeks in advance is required for the importation of pets (live animals).

II. Regulations of Importing From Mainland China:
An import permit issued by the International Trade Administration is required for the importation of dogs or cats from Mainland China.
III. Regulations of Protecting Endangered Species:
For importation of Endangered Species, a permit or certificate issued by the Competent Authority is required.

IV. Duty Free Exemptions.
The duty free exemptions for an arriving passenger is NTD 20,000.
For bringing more goods (including pets) than exemptions, please declare to Customs via the Red (Goods to Declare/Customs Service) Channel and pay the duty.
In case of any discrepancy between the English version and the Chinese version, the latter shall prevail.
