Introduction of Taoyuan Aviation Free Trade Port Zone
Taiwan Free Trade Zone (FTZ) is a geographic area where various type of industries are allowed to settle in the FTZ, including trade, storage, logistics, cargo, management, transshipment, declaration, fabrication, reassembly, packaging, repair, assembly, processing, manufacturing, inspection, testing, exhibition, technical, etc. FTZ is a place for integrate process operations and transportation. In general, the industries located in FTZ are not subjected to customs duty under specific regulation.
Taoyuan Aviation Free Trade Port Zone, locating at the north bound of the Tao-yuan International airport with an area of 34.85 hectares, provides linking roadways to the aircraft aprons, which makes a virtual extension of the air side.
It is most commonly used for electronic manufacturing and service (including digital consumer electronics, panels, wafer distribution, memory modules, semi-conductor equipment and communications, correspondence, networks, etc.), international logistics, medical products, cosmetics and bicycle assembly industries.

Flow Chart of Free-Trade Zone Clearance and Application Form Types
1.Goods imported from abroad
Imported goods entering FTZ shall be declared to the Customs of the region of import with an application form (F1), and F1 is a type of free paper and cargo examination.
2.Goods from bonded areas
Goods entering FTZ from bonded factories, science parks and export processing zones shall be declared with export declaration (B8、B9), and those from bonded warehouses or other logistics centers shall be declared with export declaration (D5).
3.Goods from dutiable areas
The taxpayer shall fill in the export declaration (F4) and declare to the Customs of the district of the FTZ. The goods just like normal flow export Air Cargo Clearance, Customs clearance types: C1、C2、C3. After the goods are released, the free trade zone enterprise shall pick up the goods in accordance with the computer release message.
4.Goods bound for countries abroad
The free-trade-zone enterprise shall fill in the export declaration (F5)
5.Goods bound for bonded areas
For goods delivered to bonded factories, export processing zones, science parks (B6),bonded warehouses(D8) or logistics centers, an import declaration is required.
6.Goods bound for dutiable areas
The taxpayer shall fill in the import declaration (F2) and declare to the Customs of the district of the FTZ. The goods just like normal flow Import Air Cargo Clearance, Customs clearance types: C1、C2、C3. After the goods are released, the free trade zone enterprise shall deliver the goods in accordance with the computer release message.
