The protected wildlife (including endangered species, rare and valuable species and other conserved wildlife) and its products are forbidden from import or export without a permit of Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES ). A permit from the Council of Agriculture is also required for some species pursuant to the Wildllife Conservation Act.

In case of any discrepancy between the English version and the Chinese version, the latter shall prevail.
