1.  Departure (export):

Travelers should present their passports and the health certification of pets to apply for inspection of pets. The Hsinchu branch, Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine, Council of Agriculture as well as the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Quarantine Station shall process the application. The authorities will then issue a quarantine certification to the traveler when pets pass all examinations. The traveler needs apply for examination of the documents at the ports or airports of discharge. (Each traveler shall bring no more than 3 pets at a time.)

2.  Entry (import):

When importing pets from the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, travelers (or their proxy) shall apply for approval from the Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine two weeks in advance. Each traveler from rabies-infected areas shall bring no more than 3 pets into Taiwan each time; importing pets from non-rabies-affected area shall be applied to the Hsinchu Division.

In case of any discrepancy between the English version and the Chinese version, the latter shall prevail.
