Inward/outward passengers or crew members carrying gold over USD 20,000 (or its equivalent) are required to declare to Customs. The excess amount is not allowed to be carried into or out of Taiwan, unless accompanied by a permit from the Bureau of Foreign Trade(BOFT)（Tel:+886-2-2351-0271).

False-declaration or non-declaration of the above item will result in a fine.

In case of any discrepancy between the English version and the Chinese version, the latter shall prevail.
