The branch office, Postal Service Section of Importation Division, located within the Taichung Post Office is in charge of the clearance of inward and outward postal parcels of central Taiwan. All inbound express mails and parcels via sea and air is under inspection. Besides the prevention of weapons and drug smuggling, the focus of the examination is to protect the Protected Special products as well. 

Outward postal parcels declared by export declaration form is needed for inspection. The aim will be to prevent the violation of Intellectual Property Rights and Trademark.
