Taichung Customs Office's cruisers are in charge the patrols of anchorage sites to enhance monitoring or carry out confiscation for suspicious vessels which had been recorded with smuggling. Also, we have inspectors to carry out with an emphasis on confiscation to inbound/outbound vessels which; especially, the voyages set among Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, India, South Africa and Mainland China, and pay more attention on inspections of those seamen who had been recorded or suspected smuggling; furthermore, stress on investigation of drugs, guns, tobacco, prohibited goods from China, and protected animal and plants.
