MINISTRY OF FINANCE Order is hereby given, for the partial amendment of the “Regulations Governing the Certification and Management of the Authorized Economic Operators”               

In order to enhance the customs clearance benefits for warehouse operators certified as Authorized Economic Operators (AEO), Article 20 of the “Regulations Governing the Certification and Management of the Authorized Economic Operators” (hereinafter referred to as “these Regulations”) is amended, so that the AEO warehouse operators that have conducted annual self-assessment in accordance with Article 29 of these Regulations may be exempted from submitting an annual autonomous management audit report to Customs in accordance with Article 12 of the “Regulations Governing the Autonomous Management Implemented by Warehouses, Container Terminals, Bonded Warehouses, Logistics Centers, and Other Businesses Designated by Customs.”

Furthermore, to align with the amendment to the “Act for the Establishment and Administration of Technology Industrial Parks” and the “Organizational Act of the International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs,” partial articles of these Regulations are amended, whereby the term “Export Processing Zone” is renamed as “Technology Industrial Park,” and the term “Bureau of Foreign Trade” is renamed as “International Trade Administration.”
