MINISTRY OF FINANCE Order is hereby given, for the amendment of Article 19 of the "Regulations Governing the Establishment and Management of Offshore Island Duty-Free Shops"

In order to promote tourism and economic development of offshore islands, the amendment promulgated on July 9, 2025, increases the duty-free allowance for alcohol products sold by offshore island duty-free shops to travelers. Travelers may now carry up to 1.5 liters for personal use from offshore island areas to Taiwan proper or other offshore islands – an increase from the previous limit of 1 liter.
