Customs Administration of the Ministry of Finance stated that in order to facilitate importers and exporters to apply for their own customs clearance data at Customs for internal audit and reconciliation needs, from now on, besides the current PDF file format, Excel file format will be provided for the convenience of importers and exporters.
Customs Administration explained that online application for customs clearance data services has been provided through the CPT Single Window “Product Data Warehouse Service” since May 1, 2017. Importers and exporters can apply for their own customs clearance data for the past five years through the “Product Data Warehouse Service,” which can instantly check case progress in the system. Once payment is confirmed and data is reviewed, the data can be downloaded for use, which greatly improves the efficiency of customs clearance data investigation. However, in the past, in order to maintain format consistency and protect and prevent files from being modified, only PDF file formats were provided. To facilitate internal audit and reconciliation of applicants with frequent import and export, the customs clearance data now applied for through the “Product Data Warehouse Service” will be provided both the current PDF file format and Excel file format for data processing and analysis. However, official documents are still mainly in PDF format.
Customs Administration emphasizes that this service is generated through real-time extraction of data from the customs clearance system database, it may still change with the correction of declaration items in the future. In addition, the data is screened based on the applicant's requirements and may be summarized or contain only partial detailed information in some items. Therefore, it is for reference only and cannot be used as any proof. If importers or exporters need supporting documents, they may still apply for import and export declaration proof or declaration duplicates.
