When to declare

I. You are carrying any endangered species of wild fauna, flora and related produces listed in “CITES”, or the quantities of the items which might be used for the purpose of money laundering you are holding exceed the prescribed limits.
Please refer to「Must Know」.

 

II. Outbound or transit passengers carrying the following items not for personal use shall submit export permits issued by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs (BOFT):
  1. Commodities listed in the restricted export commodities table compiled by the BOFT.
  2. Commodities not listed in the said table, but with a total value of more than USD20,000.

 

III. You are carrying any exhibits, or any duty-paid goods which are to be re-imported. (In the later case, if a declaration is made, the goods will be exempted from duties when being re-imported.)

IV. A carnet is used for temporary admission of goods.

V. outbound passenger carrying any bonded items shall make a declaration to customs.

VI. Any other services are required.
